Here, Together is a collective exhibition showcasing the diverse perspectives of seventeen artists who have moved to Sweden or carry international roots. Through sculpture, painting, photography, and mixed media, the exhibition explores how personal and cultural identities unfold across borders, as these identities are carried, reshaped, questioned, and celebrated.

The exhibition is curated as a journey in three parts: Roots, Togetherness, and New Beginnings. You are invited to reflect on the deeply personal yet universally resonant experiences of migration, belonging, and identity. These are layered stories shaped by memory, displacement, resistance, solitude, joy, and transformation.

In Roots, we are grounded in origin stories. The works in this section evoke the symbolism, craft, and emotional resonance of heritage. Rituals, seeds, and memories appear as gestures that keep the past alive in the present and influence our sense of self.

Togetherness moves into the space where identities meet. Sometimes they clash, often they harmonize, and they are always evolving. Artists explore the invisible threads that connect us across cultures and experiences. From shared struggles to emerging solidarities, the works in this section reflect the complex and meaningful work of being in relationship with others.

New Beginnings offers a space for imagination, healing, and futures that are still unfolding. In these works, we encounter introspection, stories of starting over, and the creation of new homes. These are narratives of resilience, adaptation, and possibility.

Together, these three constellations of work do not tell a single story of “newcomers in Sweden.” Instead, they challenge the idea that being new is a fixed or singular state.

Here, Together is both an exhibition and a gathering. It is a space to witness, to listen, and to feel the depth of voices that continue to expand what it means to be here
